The "Innocent Criminals" project embarked on a mission to provide vital support to unsupported orphans while shedding light on the challenges they face. Through an impactful awareness program at Valaichenai Hindu College, the project aimed to instill empathy and compassion among students and faculty, urging them to take action to support vulnerable children in the community.

To better understand the needs of orphaned children, a comprehensive survey was conducted among students at Valaichenai Hindu College and Headway, Batticaloa. This survey served as a valuable tool in identifying areas where support was most urgently needed, guiding the project team in designing targeted interventions.

In a heartwarming display of community support, the project team organized a special dinner for elderly residents at Batticaloa Elders Home, providing companionship and joy to those who often face loneliness and neglect. This initiative underscored the importance of extending care and support to individuals of all ages, fostering a sense of solidarity within the community.
