The urgency of environmental stewardship has never been more apparent, with global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution threatening the health of our planet and its inhabitants. In recognition of the pivotal role that youth play in shaping the future, the Regional Youth Forum Summit convened a thought-provoking panel discussion on "Promoting Environmental Stewardship: Empowering Youth for Sustainable Leadership" as its first session on the third day. This session aimed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and inspiration needed to become effective advocates and leaders in the fight for environmental sustainability.

Her accolades as a UN Habitat representative and Royal Commonwealth Society environment lead highlighted the transformative impact of youth activism in addressing environmental challenges.
